You've DMed us your design dilemmas and we've each taken a stab at them on our weekly style offs.
This week we're tackling this guest room that one of you sent us. This family recently moved into a new home (their first house!!) and have requested help styling their guestroom.
Look 1
When styling a guest room, we like to keep two things at the top or our minds - comfy & cozy. There's nothing more welcoming than that! I've styled this room with lots of cozy pillows and blankets for ultimate comfort for this family's visitors.
Anthropology: Prana Live-Edge Bed (color: sand)
Pottery Barn: Rug
West Elm: Book nook armchair
Target: Minsmere caned accent table
Crate & Barrel: Zain table lamp
Afloral: Geometric flower pot
Society6: Framed floral art prints
The Home Depot: Blanket ladder
Wayfair: Caleb cotton throw
Pottery Barn: Farida printed throw pillow cover
Etsy: Plaid throw pillow cover
Lulu & Georgia: Charlotte velvet lumbar pillow
One Kings Lane: Blakely lumbar pillow
Pottery Barn: Lodge plaid sherpa back throw
Pottery Barn: Belgian flax linen curtain
Look 2
I've styled this room with mustard yellow, rusty browns and charcoal grey tones. I suggest they take their curtain rods up all the way to the ceiling and hang the curtains wider than the actual windows. This will help to make the room feel larger and let more light in.
Because this is a guest room, there isn't need of a ton of storage here, but little touches like wall hooks and a luggage rack would make this an inviting and welcoming space for their visitors to feel right at home!
